**Out of an abundance of caution, the producers have chosen to cancel this EPA/ECC/audition for the safety of our members and everyone involved. These EPAs will not be rescheduled.
They will be accepting video audition submissions in lieu of the EPAs. A separate notice for video submissions will be posted with submission information.**

PREPARATION

Please prepare a brief song in the style of the season’s shows. Please have a contrasting song selection ready, if asked. You may sing from the shows. Please bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring a picture and resume, stapled together

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS
1st Reh: 05/26/2020. Runs: 06/11 -06/27/2020

Character Breakdown:

Seymour Krelborn - An insecure, put-upon florist's clerk and eventual hero. He is a genuine, well-meaning man who is taken for granted because of his clumsy ways and poor social skills. Gender: Male, Age: 25 to 35, Vocal range top: G4, Vocal range, bottom: A2.

Audrey - Bleached-blond, Billie-Dawn-like, secret love of Seymour's life. She has poor self-worth and education, but incredibly good looks and a sweet and vulnerable demeanor. Gender: Female, Age: 25 to 35, Vocal range top: D5, Vocal range bottom: G#3.

Mr. Mushnik - The seasoned owner of the failing East Side flower shop and Seymour's nosy boss. He is profit-driven, greedy, and manipulative. Gender: Male, Age: 55 to 65. Vocal range top: F4, Vocal range bottom: G2.

Orin Scrivello - An egotistical dentist with a passion for leather and sadistic tendencies. Audrey's abusive boyfriend, who is targeted by Seymour. Gender: Male, Age: 30 to 40. Vocal range top: G4, Vocal range bottom: G2.

The Plant (Audrey II) - Puppet. An anthropomorphic cross between a Venus flytrap and an avocado, the plant has an appetite for human flesh that is appeased by Seymour. Puppeteer doubles as other sizes of the plant.

Voice Of The Plant - An actor/vocalist located offstage. The voice is that of a conniving, street-smart 'villain.' A funky Rhythm and Blues voice is best. Gender: Male, Age: 20 to 50, Vocal range top: G4, Vocal range bottom: G2.

Crystal, Ronnette and Chiffon are African-American street urchins, acting as the occasional Greek Chorus. Young, hip, and smart, these girls are the only ones who have a grip on reality. Gender: Female, Age: 20 to 35, Vocal range top: F5, Vocal range bottom: Ab3

Character Breakdown:

BROOKLYN – Female, A famous young Parisian that comes to America to search for the Father she never knew.

FAITH – Female, Brooklyn’s mother; a dancer

STREET SINGER – Male, A street performer that plays a rusty, old crowbar

TAYLOR COLLINS – Male, A young singer from Brooklyn in 1969 Paris; Brooklyn’s father.

PARADICE – Female, The “Reigning Diva of the Decade” who challenges Brooklyn to a “Battle of the Divas” at Madison Square Garden.

THE CITY WEEDS - Male & Female, Act as the ensemble of the show.

WEST SIDE STORY:

Character Breakdown:

Riff - A spritely, quick-tempered leader. He seeks to eliminate the Sharks and establish his own gang's dominance. Tony's best friend, he is eventually murdered by Bernardo. Gender: Male, Age: 25 to 30, Vocal range top: G4, Vocal range bottom: Bb2.

Tony - A romantic young man and former leader of the Jets, he has found a new lifestyle now. Tony finds himself violently torn between his friendships and love. Falls in love to Maria and meets an untimely death. Genuinely sweet and sincere. Gender: Male, Age: 25 to 30, Vocal range top: Bb4, Vocal range bottom: Bb2.

Bernardo - A proud, strong, handsome Puerto Rican man. Bernardo seeks to carve out territory as a sense of identity for he and his friends. Maria's brother and Anita's boyfriend. Leader of the Sharks. Gender: Male, Age: 25 to 35, Vocal range top: Eb4, Vocal range bottom: Bb2.

Maria - A hopeless romantic and innocent young girl. She falls in love with Tony and finds herself at the center of the violent conflict between the two gangs. Bernardo's sister. Puerto Rican. Gender: Female, Age: 18 to 21, Vocal range top: C6, Vocal range bottom: Bb3.

Anita - Feisty and assertive. She dispenses older sister advice to Maria and tries to shield her from the dangers of the gangs. Bernardo's girlfriend and Maria's friend. Puerto Rican. Gender: Female, Age: 25 to 30, Vocal range top: D5, Vocal range bottom: F3.

Chino - An angry and, at times, naive Shark who turns murderous and vengeful. Suitor to Maria and friend of Bernardo's. Gender: Male, Age: 20 to 25.

Anybodys - A spunky tomboy who is desperate to become a member of the Jets. The other Jets mock her for her ambitions, but generally appreciate her company. Full of energy and heart. Gender: Female, Age: 15 to 25.

Doc - The owner of the candy store where the Jets hang out. He tries to guide the Jets youthful angst and provides a safe haven for Tony. Old fashioned and wise in his ways. Gender:Male, Age: 60 to 75.

Schrank - A local police detective frustrated by the ongoing violence between the Jets and Sharks. Blunt, brash, and unapologetic. Gender: Male, Age: 40 to 55.

Krupke - The local beat cop. He has no patience for the gangs conflict and tries to keep tensions from errupting between them. Regularly mocked by the local gangs. Gender: Male, Age: 30 to 60, Ensemble.
