Chicago actors encouraged to submit.
All cast must be strong singers and good movers as they will participate in musical numbers.
NOTE FROM CREATIVE: We welcome performers of all gender identities, abilities/exceptionalities, and body types. Please take this into consideration when submitting clients. In addition to genders listed in character breakdowns, we are open to trans and non-binary performers for all roles.

[LLOYD PRICE] Male-identifying, Black, 25- 45 years old. Legendary singer and songwriter; the protagonist of the story. This role involves James Brown footwork, tap dance experience/vocabulary is helpful. Strong singer and dancer/mover. ROLE IS ON OFFER
[HAROLD LOGAN] Male-identifying, Black, 35- 55 years old. Short, around 5'4, built like a brick wall. A loveable gangster, Loyal to Lloyd Price; he becomes his partner in music. Strong singer and mover. ROLE IS ON OFFER.
[EMMA] Female-identifying, Black, 20- 25 years old. Lloyd Price’s wife. Very beautiful and confident, slightly troubled, a woman that speaks her mind. Strong singer and Mover/Dancer.
[YOUNG LLOYD PRICE] Male-identifying, Black, 16 - 20 years old. Lloyd Price as a young man growing up in Kenner, New Orleans. Strong singer and mover.
