BABE: Female, 18–22. Cher at the early stage of her life. Fiercely independent but insecure about her looks, challenged by dyslexia. Anxious to “get up and get out” — to sing, dance, and act; determined to be famous. Has an excellent pop/rock voice. Role will be understudied.
LADY: Female, 30–35. Cher in her 30s. Delighted by the power and trappings of stardom but exhausted by a fully booked life. Has an excellent pop/rock voice. Role will be understudied.
STAR: Female, 45–55. Cher as she is now — striving, trying new things, searching for love. Has an excellent pop/rock voice. Role will be understudied.
SONNY BONO: Male, 35–45. Charming, funny, ambitious, but capable of being controlling and manipulative. Has an excellent pop/rock voice. Role will be understudied.
GEORGIA HOLT / LUCILLE BALL: Female, 40–50. Cher’s mother; will also double as Lucille Ball. Has an excellent pop/rock voice. Role will be understudied.
BOB MACKIE / ROBERT ALTMAN: Male, 35–55. Eccentric fashion designer who will also double as director Robert Altman. Excellent comedic timing and strong singing voice. Role will be understudied.
GREGG ALLMAN / JOHN SOUTHALL: Male, 25–40. Musician; romantic relationship with Cher after Sonny. Excellent pop/rock singing voice; guitar playing a plus. Role will be understudied.
ROB CAMILLETTI: Male, 25–35. “The Bagel Boy.” Young Italian love interest later in Cher’s life. Sweet and charming. Excellent pop/rock voice. Role will be understudied.
ENSEMBLE: Any gender or ethnicity, 18+. Excellent dancers in ballet and jazz, strong contemporary musical theater voices; diverse and unique performers for a range of ensemble roles.

MR. DUVALL: Male, Black, 30s–50s. Principal of North Shore High; prefers teaching inmates to dealing with out-of-control high school girls.
KEVIN G.: Male, South Asian, 18+ to play late teens. Captain of the Mathletes; driven and confident; may record rap singles.
