Please prepare a brief Sinatra song, or a song in the style of Sinatra. Preferred: “I’ve Got You Under My Skin”, “Fly Me To The Moon” or “I’ve Got the World on A String”. Bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided, but may not transpose. No a cappella singing, please.

Please bring a current photo and resume, stapled back-to-back.

One-man musical show. Through personal life stories, we hear of Cary Hoffman’s life and of his connection to Sinatra.

Standby for Cary Hoffman:

AVAILABLE POSITION. Seeking actor to stand by for each show, and to go on one or two times per week. Character of Cary is a Caucasian New Yorker of Jewish descent, 55+. Cary Hoffman grew up in Queens in the 1950s, and is the son of middle-class parents. As a child, Cary listened to Sinatra recordings constantly, and taught himself to sound just like his idol. Cary’s personal connection to Frank Sinatra is all-consuming. Cary is kind, unassuming and vulnerable. He is a funny man full of self-deprecating charm, with excellent comic timing. Seeking an engaging and charming comic character actor who has the ability to sing in the style of Frank Sinatra. Ideally, the actor would croon just like Sinatra. Actor must have the ability to break the fourth wall and engage the audience, as well as tell an amazing story. Should be attractive but real, look good in a tux, and be between 5’10” and 6’2” in height. Casting personnel state, “Not interested in Sinatra look-alikes. This is an actor who can play a character of a man who sings like Sinatra.”
