Equity actor/singers for leading roles in five large-scale productions.

Preparation
Prepare a brief song in styles appropriate to the season: standard show tunes or pop-contemporary.

Selected sheet music are available for study at: www.mtwichita.org. Go to 'Auditions'; look on the 'Roles' page. (there won't be time for sides at this EPA)

Bring picture and resume.

Other Dates
Each production rehearses for ten days, and then gives 7 or 8 performances in the 2100-seat indoor Concert Hall in the Century II performing arts center.

AMNERIS
Beautiful Egyptian princess, grows from spoiled fashionista to wise leader; 20s-30s; pop belter with keen sense of style and humor, plus dramatic acting ability

BILLY
Unbelievably gifted young man (10-15), stunningly professional in ballet, tap, hip-hop and acrobatics, who is also a charming actor and singer. Ideally, two actors will be hired to cover this role.

MRS. WILKINSON
Hard-bitten, wisecracking, chain-smoking small town dance teacher, excellent actress and capable singer-dancer

DAD
Weathered, tough, English coal miner, ultimately compassionate and caring; 40s; baritone

GRANDMA
Eccentric older character actress, with clever singing and movement skills

MICHAEL
Free-spirited young boy (10-14), excellent tapper and fun actor
