First Preview: Sunday, September 27, 2026
Opening Night: Friday, October 2, 2026
Closing: Sunday, October 25, 2026
SEEKING:
- LIZZY: A year or two younger than Jane. Clever, spirited; can be sharp-tongued. Gets flustered, which makes her klutzy. Prides herself on good judgment. Not especially beautiful.
- MR. DARCY: Late 30s-40s. One of the richest men in England. Too proper for his own good; awkward in most social contexts. Prides himself on self-control and good judgment.
- MRS. BENNET: The matriarch of the Bennet family. Mostly a silly woman, of mean understanding and variable temper. Hypochondriac. The business of her life is to get her daughters married.
- JANE: Late 20s-early 30s. The eldest and most beautiful Bennet daughter. Kind, idealistic, diffident. Always tries to do the right thing. May be doubled with Miss De Bourgh.
- LYDIA: [OFFER PENDING] 14, the youngest Bennet. Lively, prone to imitating others’ behavior and eavesdropping. May be doubled with Lady Catherine.
- CHARLOTTE LUCAS: Same age as Lizzy. A practical girl with a good sense of humor. May be doubled with Mr. Bennet.
- MR. BINGLEY: Late 30s-40s. Loves the world and the world loves him. Mr. Darcy’s particular friend. Almost literally a dog. May double with Mary.
- MR. COLLINS: A pedantic, obtuse man. Rector to Lady Catherine. May double with Wickham/Miss Bingley.
- WICKHAM: An unfairly handsome and charming gentleman. Raised with Darcy.
- MISS BINGLEY: A very rich young woman. Fancies herself witty.

First Preview: Sunday, November 15, 2026
Opening Night: Friday, November 20, 2026
Closing: Thursday, December 24, 2026
SEEKING:
- SEYMOUR: Mid-twenties and perhaps balding a little. Our insecure, naïve, put-upon florist’s clerk hero. Above all, he’s a sweet and well-meaning little man.
- AUDREY: The bleached-blond, Billie-Dawn-like secret love of his life. If you took Judy Holiday, Carol Channing, Marilyn Monroe, and Goldie Hawn, removed their education and feelings of self-worth, dressed them in spiked heels and a short black dress, and then shook them up in a test tube to extract what’s sweetest and most vulnerable – that’d be Audrey.
- MR. MUSHNIK: Their boss. A failure of an East Side florist. His accent, if he has one, is more that of middle-class New York than of Eastern Europe. He seldom smiles but often sweats.
- ORIN: A tall, dark, handsome dentist with a black leather jacket and sadistic tendencies. He is not, however, a leftover from the movie version of Grease.
- THE PLANT (AUDREY II): An anthropomorphic cross between a giant Venus flytrap and an avocado.
- VOICE OF THE PLANT: Voice provided on an offstage microphone, the sound is a cross between Otis Redding, Barry White, and Wolfman Jack. Think of the voice as that of a street-smart, funky, conniving villain.
- CRYSTAL, RONNETTE and CHIFFON: Three Black ‘street urchins who function as participants in the action and a Greek Chorus outside it.
