Breakdown

Please note: This is a musical about the Mods and the Rockers of England in the mid 60’s. Both groups came of age in post war London and resided in similar working class neighborhoods. They spoke with cockney accents and were, primarily, differentiated by cultural choices in fashion, music and local loyalties. The Rocker males all wore motorcycle jackets, jeans, t-shirts and heavy boots and had their hair greased back in DA’s. The females wore tight pants or skirts and tight sweaters and had big, teased hair. The Mod males wore narrow trousers, pointy shoes and suits and the Mod females had Sassoon hairstyles, heavy make-up and wore the latest fashions.
