SAHRA GEWAL (Female Identifying, 40s, Any Ethnicity) McNeal's physician. Can go toe to toe with McNeal. She is concerned with his health and well-being. She is highly competent and sees through McNeal's bravado.
STEPHIE BANIC (Female Identifying, 50s, White) McNeal's long-time agent. Knows him as well as anyone. Can be hard and straightforward. She definitely does not suffer fools. Despite her gruffness she shows McNeal compassion and love.
HARLAN MCNEAL (Male Identifying, 30s, White) McNeal's son. Estranged from McNeal he is very sensitive and has anger issues. In his estimation all of his problems stem from his father's narcissism and manipulative nature.
FRANCINE BLAKE (Female Identifying, 50s, Any Ethnicity) A retired editor at The Times. Highly intelligent with a swift sarcastic wit. Classy and well put together. Not afraid to use her words as her weapon. Vulnerable despite her tough exterior.
JACOB MCNEAL-COVER (Male Identifying, 60s, White) A Nobel Prize winning author of renown. Highly intelligent, and highly egotistical. Can be extremely charming when he wants to be. On top of the world when his work is well received, and at rock bottom when it is not. Any criticism of his work can lead to depression and binge drinking. He has burned many bridges in his life both professionally and personally.
FRANCINE BLAKE/STEFIE BANIC-COVER (Female Identifying, 50s, Any Ethnicity) To cover the roles of Francine Blake and Stefie Banic.
