(Elisabeth Vigée Le Brun) (Female – mid-late 20s). An ambitious, middle-class portrait artist whose career is painting the aristocracy. Beautiful, independent, perceptive.
Alexis:
(Count Alexis de Ligne) (Male – late 20s/early 30s). A minor noble with ardently progressive political views. Charming, compassionate, impulsive. Sees himself as a ladies’ man.
Marie:
(Queen Marie Antoinette) (Female – mid-late 20s). The Queen of France. Naïve, inquisitive, vulnerable. She was sent to France as a teenager to become Queen and she’s lonely.
