Indicate Union status and role you are most interested in.

BREAKDOWN
PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Please submit a video of a short contemporary monologue. If you are using an iPhone to video record, please be sure to film horizontally and in a well-lit space (not backlit). At the top of the video, please slate your name and height.
SEEKING:
EVA: Female, 30s, Latinx. A Mexican-American podcast host; observant; tense. Her strong religious beliefs have been recently shaken and she is now less sure of her place in the world. She thinks carefully before she speaks.
THE VIRGIN MARY: Female+ or Non-Binary, 20s-40s, BIPOC. A statue; ageless; infinite. Needs to be both funny and terrifying, both compassionate and ruthless. Sees through people, knows how to get to the core of them.
CAST ROLES:
ANN / ISABEL: Female, 18+ to play 15, White (Irish). A schoolgirl; she is warm and witty; has a sharp tongue and an answer for everything; private about her feelings; can hold her own. Doubles as ISABEL (female, 15, American accent).
YOUNG RICKY: Male, 18+ to play 16/17, White (English, raised in Ireland). A former schoolboy turned farm worker. Sweet; mild; trying his best. Completely smitten with Ann. He is also quite lonely.
RICKY: Male, 50s, White (English, raised in Ireland). Kind; cautious; working class. Stumbles over his words sometimes. He is not quick to judgment. Young Ricky 34 years later.
