Seeking (all roles are available):

Porter:

Caucasian man, early – mid 30s. Once a golden boy, now a wandering soul. Hard work, effortless charm and determination brought him great success in business and in love at a relatively young age – and left him divorced, bankrupt and bereft before his 30th birthday. Back on the horse now, though still decidedly bruised, Porter is struggling to find purpose, meaning and connection.

Heather:

Caucasian woman, mid 20s – early 30s. Heather has been blind since the age of two. Attractive, quick-witted and no nonsense – a take-the-bull-by-the-horns kind of gal by nature, and because she’s had to be. Proud and capable, perhaps to a fault, Heather is less secure in her love life than in her professional one. Actively seeking performers who are blind or have low vision.

Grace:

Caucasian woman, 50s. Heather’s well-intentioned, supportive but perhaps overprotective and (unconsciously?) controlling mother. Does not realize how inappropriately honest and embarrassing she can be at times.

Rick / Dector / Administrator:

Multi-character track (Caucasian males, 50s) for one actor. Rick: Porter’s quick-talking, animated and charming (if feckless) father. Always working a get-rich-quick scheme; relentlessly asks Porter for seed-money, without noticing the fragile state his son is in. Dector: Heather’s superior at UBS. Direct, authoritative, evasively politic. Administrator: Administrator at a private school Porter interviews with for a teaching position. Very, very dry.

Little Dog / Barista / Waiter:

Multi-character track (males, mid 20s) for one actor. Seeking a funny, offbeat character guy for this track. Little Dog: Porter’s successful-at-a-young-age, supremely affable, “dude”-spewing pal; the kind of guy who greets other guys by saying “Yo, bitch!”; never met a sentence where he couldn’t include the word “f**k”. Barista: Works in Porter’s local coffee shop. Friendly and warm. Waiter: Waiter in the restaurant at which Porter and Heather eat.

Claire / Carlotta / Wendy:

Multi-character track (females, late 20s) for one actor. Claire: Heather’s roommate. Perky, noisy, needy. A good roommate, but seeks a lot of Heather’s time and attention. Carlotta: Porter’s ex-wife. Very attractive. Dramatic, quick-witted. Newly re-engaged, yet still very much in love with Porter. Wendy: Heather’s executive assistant. Eager but hapless.
