Team Awesome Robot is presenting a workshop of Madhuri Shekar's new play in progress, Let's Do That Hockey. It's an exciting new piece about performative masculinity taking place in the world of professional ice hockey. For this workshop, we're particularly interested in experimenting with staging the scenes that take place on the ice; the primary question being, how much narrative story can we communicate through bare-bones staging so as not to rely on narration? As we will be spending the majority of our rehearsals on staging the hockey scenes, the rest of the play will be treated as a classic music stand reading.
