PREPARATION

Please prepare one 16 to 32 bar cut (approximately 1 minute in length), and bring a second in case the Artistic Team needs to hear more. An accompanist will be provided. Bring music in your key.

OTHER

No performers under 18 are being seen at this time. All ethnicities and gender non-conforming artists are strongly encouraged to attend. Specifically seeking strong technical dancers for musical theater jazz. Please be warmed up and ready to dance at your call time. Be prepared to do a ballet and a classic theater jazz combination. Please bring ballet shoes and jazz / character heel shoes - no sneakers. Knee pads will be required (there will be knee work).

ECC Procedures are in effect for audition.

An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of audition.

Bill Calhoun (Lucentio) — a Broadway hoofer, Lois’ partner and a chronic gambler.

Lilli Vanessi (Katharine) — a star stage and screen actress, former wife of Fred Graham.

Fred Graham (Petruchio) — writer, producer, director, actor and superman; former husband of Lilli.

First Man — gunman-enforcer

Second Man — gunman-enforcer

Gremio — first suitor; ensemble dancer

Hortensio — second suitor; ensemble dancer

General Harrison Howell — career military officer, politician and Lilli’s “new” man

Pops (Stage Doorman) — ensemble
