Charlie Price - Male. 25-35. Tenor. A bit confused, a bit unfocused, a hero hiding under a victim's mantle.
Lola/Simon - Male. 30-35. Tenor. A prize fighter's physique draped in satin. A talented drag queen with a killer voice and winning ways.
Nicola - female. 20-30. Mezzo-soprano. Charlie's long-term girlfriend. Driven, uncompromising.
Lauren - female. 20-30. Mezzo-soprano. Beautiful and strong working class girl.
Don - Male. 20-40. Baritone. Lola's nemesis. Burly hypermasculine bear of a factory worker
Pat- Female - 25-40. Mezzo-Soprano. Officious office manager who will let loose her wild side when allowed. Lola's love interest.
Trish - Female. 30-50. Alto. Factory worker with a husband and kids to worry over.
George - Male. 30-50. Factory manager keeping up traditions. Reserved.
The Angels - Male - 20-30. All Voice types. Mostly Tenor. The drag performers who populate The Blue Angel Nightclub. This ain't a job for no wall-flowers.
Simon Sr. - Male - 30-50. Lola's father. An unforgiving tower of anger.
Harry - Male. 25-40. A contemporary of Charlie's but his opposite. Successful, self aware and confident.
Richard Bailey - Male. 30-50. Nicola's boss. An overtly attractive and successful man.
