SYNOPSIS: When Nicaraguan brothers Fíto and Bastian clash over their visions of the American Dream, their choices send them on a collision course with fate — risking not just their futures, but their bond. Fíto, a poet, is impulsive and ambitious, willing to take risks to get what he wants. Bastian, a telemarketer, is steady and principled, holding onto caution as a guide. Blending poetry, live music, and ritual, this electrifying tale of brotherhood and belonging pulses with rhythm and emotion, pulling us into a world where family is everything, but dreams come at a cost.

SEEKING:

FÍTO PALOMINO: Age: 20s, Ethnicity: Nicaraguan, Afro-Latinx/Black, Occupation: Poet, Street Performer. Description: Fíto is a passionate and charismatic young man who makes his living performing poetry in the streets. He is bold, expressive, and full of life, using rhythm, humor, and movement to engage an audience and with the world. His art is his way of survival, resistance, and self-definition. He clashes with his older brother over his unconventional path but remains determined to carve out a future on his terms. Strong physicality and stage presence, spoken word performance skills, the ability to transition between humor and raw emotion, musicality and a sense of rhythm (experience with live/solo performance is a plus). Will double as Miss Clark, a boisterous and condescending female clerk.

BASTIAN MONTEYERO: Age: 30s, Ethnicity: Nicaraguan, White-Passing Latinx, Occupation: Telemarketer. Description: Bastian is the responsible, pragmatic older brother. He works long hours at a call center, pushing to change his life and distance himself from their complicated past. He wants stability, security, and control over his future, leading him to resent Fíto's artistic pursuits. A former dreamer, he struggles between tough love and deep care for his brother. He believes his assimilation in this country will free him from prejudice and racism. Strong dramatic presence and comedic timing, the ability to transition between a grounded, naturalistic acting style and absurdism, ability to convey internal conflict and emotional restraint. Will double as Menocal, a Cuban, white-passing cop with a god complex.

BASSIST: woman, black/latinx/afro-latinx. Plays an electric bass guitar.

DRUMMER: (This role has been cast. Looking for an understudy.) woman, black/latinx/afro-latinx.

SYNOPSIS: Jada and Dallas were once engaged — now, they’re meeting for dinner to untangle the past. Between cheeky waiters, old wounds, and the undeniable spark that still lingers between them, their “casual” reunion may ignite a bomb neither of them can defuse.

SEEKING:

JADA (This role has been cast. Looking for an understudy.) - A magnetic and comedic spirit. When she enters a room heads turn. Though quick-witted and strong, her pride is her downfall. Black love interest energy. Late 20 - early 30s, Black identifying woman.

DALLAS (This role has been cast. Looking for an understudy.) - Driven, charming and hardworking. He’s smooth with his words and passionate with his love. Sometimes he’s so focused he forgets to take care of home. Late 20-early 30s, Black identifying man.

RIVER, ERIC and others (This role has been cast. Looking for an understudy.) - River is queer, cunty and bitterly single. He’s hilarious both to the audience and himself. Behind his snippy exterior is a huge hopeless romantic. Eric exudes confidence without trying. He’s a straight forward, cocky flirt - with long-term commitment issues. Bartender - is a total muscle bro. He’s so sure of himself it makes you wanna vomit. Happily single, he swears he knows a woman’s needs before she even opens her mouth. Late 20- early 30s, Black identifying man.

Closing: March 8, 2026 (but could extend until March 15, 2026)

SYNOPSIS: Sally, a once-celebrated novelist grappling with writer's block and overshadowed by her husband Theo’s rising literary fame, seeks solace and inspiration in the iconic Boston apartment once inhabited by Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes. But when eerie encounters begin to blur the line between inspiration and madness, Sally is forced to question what’s real, what’s imagined, and what her art may truly cost her. A darkly funny, gripping world premiere from rising playwright Beth Hyland, this tragicomic thriller explores creativity, obsession, and our ghosts that refuse to be ignored.

SEEKING:

SALLY (This role has been cast. Looking for an understudy.) (Early 30s) POC, Very funny, very fast, with a real depth and vulnerability that she attempts to cover over. Uses humor both as a shield and as a weapon. Her brain moves incredibly quickly - super sharp, super verbal. Occasionally attempts to perform a cool girl nihilism despite being so, so anxious and obsessive; also suffers from the classic writer's combination of deep insecurity mixed with moments of superiority.

THEO (This role has been cast. Looking for an understudy.) (Early 30s) POC, Gentle, boyish, neurotic, somewhat knowingly performing the role of self-conscious writer. Uncomfortable with traditional masculinity, yet performing a recognizable type of left/liberal/artistic spaces manhood. Charming in his sweet, self-effacing nature, but there's something underneath that makes us wonder if we can trust him.

SYLVIA (30s) White or white passing. The most intense, the most vibrant, the highest highs and the lowest lows. Art and love and ambition and joy and suffering pour out of her - everything goes outward. High-status and elegant in a mid-20th century way - in the scenes set in the present, she feels like she's from another time. Equally capable of deep tenderness and viciousness.

TED (30s) White or white passing. Dialect: British accent. Darkly magnetic, a self-styled Heathcliff: immensely charismatic with a sense of genuine danger about him. Brilliant, completely dedicated to his work, and very consciously embodying the role of The Artist. A deeply compelling stillness - mysterious, gnomic, self-contained - with occasional unpredictable outbursts of violence.
