Please prepare 16 bars in the musical style(s) listed in the breakdown below. Bring sheet music in the correct key; piano accompanist is provided, but may not transpose. A guitar accompanist will also be provided for those who would prefer guitar accompaniment. Singers may also accompany themselves on guitar if they wish.

Seeking:

Singers (M/F):

Characters are 20s – mid 30s. Seeking singers who can sing folk-country blues in the style of the Carter Family. Johnny Cash, Sheryl Crow, Roseanne Cash and Kris Kristofferson. Front porch-style, not slick. Not modern country (e.g. Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, etc.) or traditional/contemporary musical theatre. Singers must move well. Authors are keen to find actors with authentic Southern accents.
