DIVE BAR
SYNOPSIS: When a mysterious old man stumbles into a Boyle Heights dive bar just as police helicopters circle overhead hunting a shooting suspect, the regulars' half-drunk speculation spirals into full-blown paranoia — and a fight for their lives they never saw coming. A dark comedy with teeth — one

[Charlie] - Man; 45 to 55 years old; all ethnicities. A burly bar owner. He lost his wife last year and is still trying to find purpose without her. He seems like an old dog who has given up, tired and settled in his ways.
[Goose] - Man; 40 to 50 years old; all Hispanic. In good physical condition for his age, a regular at the bar and Charlie's friend. He is loud, confident, and full of energy, but his shortcuts in life have caught up with him. Now, he is trying to get back what he lost, but it feels impossible.
[Willie] - Man; 30 to 40 years old; all ethnicities. Another regular at the bar and often the opposite of Goose. He is at the bottom of the bar's social ladder. Willie is always tense, feeling stuck at the bar but wishing he could be at home. He's like Cliff Claven, but without the self-assurance.
[Sam] - Woman; 20 to 30 years old; Hispanic. Waitress and former singer. She moved from Los Angeles to Texas. After losing her mother when she was young — a mother she used to sing to — Sam's playful side faded, replaced by a tough exterior. She left home searching for herself before she really knew who she was.
[Mr. Smith] - Man; 60 to 70 years old; Hispanic. He is a quiet, almost invisible older man, and a green bow tie is what stands out most about him. He appears calm and happy, but there is a deep sadness beneath the surface.
