SEEKING

  • Mr. Peel: (25-35) - A newcomer to town and new council member. Considered a protagonist in the show. Curious, determined, and a bit headstrong.
  • Mayor Superba: (50-60) - The mayor and head of the city council. A warm and welcoming presence with a firm grasp and control of the team. He knows how to play the game. Authoritative, folksy, and self-righteous.
  • Ms. Johnson: (30-40) - The city clerk responsible for maintaining minutes of every detail of every meeting. Cautious, meticulous, and assertive.
  • Mr. Blake: (40s-60s) - A council member who can talk the talk, often motivated by what serves him best. Smooth, outlandish, and calculating.
  • Mr. Hanratty: (mid 30s-50s) - A council member that looks out for what will help the town the most, often trying and failing. Well intentioned, verbose, and passionate.
  • Mr. Breeding: (40s-60s) - A council member closely aligned with Mayor Superba. Opinionated, self-aggrandizing, and dismissive.
  • Mr. Assalone: (40s-60s) - Mayor Superba's other major ally on the council. Aggressive, confrontational and a bully.
  • Ms. Innes: (60+) - The second-longest-serving member of the council. Focuses only on her agenda items.
  • Ms. Matz: (35-45) - A flighty and distracted member of the council that struggles to complete her actionable items. Unaware, erratic, and in her head.
  • Mr. Oldfield: (65+) - The longest-serving member of the council with a bit of a temper. He often finds himself rambling over minute details. Testy, long-winded, and constant.
  • Mr. Carp: (40s-60s) - Missing for much of the play, a council member that is seemingly missing. Truthful, well-intentioned, and diligent.

  • Jerry Lee Lewis: (20s-30s, Male-Identifying) singer/pianist. Jerry Lee Lewis was rock & roll's legendary piano prodigy.
  • Carl Perkins: (mid 20s-late 30s, Male-Identifying) singer/guitar player (lead guitar).
  • Johnny Cash: (Late 20s-40s, Male-Identifying) singer/guitar player. This is Johnny Cash at the dawn of his epic career.
  • Sam Phillips: (Mid-30s-40s, Male-Identifying, Non-Singing Role) The Father of Rock 'n' roll NON-SINGING ROLE.
  • Dyanne: (20s-early 40s, Female-Identifying) Excellent singer. Dyanne was an aspiring singer and Elvis's girlfriend. Alto range and covers the high soprano part of Riders In The Sky (Johnny Cash song).
  • Jay Perkins: (20-40s, Male-Identifying) Jay is Carl Perkins' brother and bassist, who has accompanied him to Sun Records to record Carl's new album.
