MARIANNE - Newly 18. Female. A virgin. Relatable and sweet, but also a controlling perfectionist. Marianne decides to lose her virginity after finding out she was conceived via bed trick. Ends up manipulating people as she gets caught up in the whole thing. Her parents' recent divorce turned her life and her understanding of love upside down.

LULU - 18. Female. Marianne’s best friend, experienced — starts to catfish her boyfriend Willis after finding out that he’s on a dating app. She can be a bit cruel but is easily hurt. She's got a secret tender heart.

HARRIET - 18. Female/non-binary. Marianne and Lulu's randomly assigned roommate. A drama kid. Socially anxious. Performing the lead in a school production of “All's Well That Ends Well.” Easily talked in and out of things.

WILLIS - 18. Lulu's boyfriend since sophomore year of high school, but his eye is wandering. He recently created a profile for a dating app, thinking Lulu wouldn't see it, just to see who's out there. He’s figuring himself out -- somewhere between frat guy and burnout. Doubles as DIRECTOR (VOICE).

BENNY - 40-ish, Marianne's Dad. A professor at the University, teaches technical writing. Recently divorced. He's sweet but has major trust issues. He'd never word it like this himself, but he's always felt kind of trapped, and now he's free for the first time. Doubles as DRUNK BARFLY (VOICE).

ANNA - 40-ish, Marianne's Mom. Carries immense guilt for manipulating her husband when they were just teenagers. She is now hoping to make things right in their lives.

DAUGHTER - 40s. Female. Fled Moscow; she experiences profound guilt and anxiety over her mother's refusal to leave the war zone. Copes with her helplessness by imagining her mother having tea with Zelenskyy or fighting God, elevating MOTHER to a heroic, almost magical figure.

MAN - Any age. Male. Rapid character shifts often using humor and satire to deconstruct the figures responsible for the war. Putin, Zelenskyy, Biden, First Husband, Second Husband, etc.

SEEKING:

REMY - 37. Cis Male. Black. He/him. Gay. A widower. Remy leads his two-male household with a warm and loving sense of humor, but he knows when to drop the cool dad permissiveness and command respect. An activist, he's deliberately undefined, highly disinterested in extravagance or luxury. His working-class roots should be obvious in body and dress.

PUP - 16. White. Cis male. He/him. Straight. The son of Remy's late husband. Pup's an aspiring filmmaker, but little more than a skinny kid with a camcorder for now. At home with Remy, he shares his late father's quippy sense of humor and fidgety nerves. You wouldn't recognize the arrogant bully he becomes when he's around his friends, though. He sprouts a little chin stubble.
