PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS:
To optimize the best sound and video possible we encourage you to turn off any ambient noise (air conditioner/tv/radio) and please select a well lit area with minimal backlighting for your video. Please also slate your name, location and height before you begin your audition.
Please sing a theatre song of approximately 1 minute in length. You may also use the accompaniment at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/otpqsbn1w2ms2gm/AADW2lqoiQc1WG7OMenFtndTa?dl=0 . Please do not sing acapella.

[LIZ SANDOR] - Female presenting, early 30's, a popular columnist (as “Liz Lane”) for Smart Housekeeping Magazine. Fiery, confident, independent, gives as good as she gets. Lyric Soprano with high belt.
[JEFFERSON JONES] – Male presenting, early 20’s, a soldier Naive, humble, charming and cornfed. All American. Tenor.
[ALEXANDER YARDLEY] – Male presenting, late 60’s-early 70’s, the publisher of Smart Housekeeping, gruff, imperious, powerful. Bass/baritone
[DUDLEY BEECHAM] - Male presenting, 30’s, Liz’s editor anxiety- ridden and ambitious. Tenor.
[VICTOR BEECHAM] – Male presenting, Late 30’s. Dudley’s older brother, an idealistic socialist, honest, hardworking. Baritone.
[FELIX BASESENAK] – Male presenting, 60’s. Liz and Dudley’s friend, a Maitre’d, a matchmaker, nurturer avuncular and Easten European. Speaks with a Hungarian accent Baritone.
[NORAH O‘CONNOR] – Female presenting, 60’s, The housekeeper at Dudley and Victor's farm prickly, hard-working dryly funny Alto/character voice.
[GLADYS HIGGENBOTTOM] – Female presenting, 20’s, Yardley’s assistant. Sharp-witted, problem-solver, lover of detective novels, Belter (Bluesy).
[MARIO] – Male presenting, 30’s. A local Connecticut taxi driver, outgoing, aggressive, voluble and a surprising softie.
