Seeking (all roles are available):

Katie:

Mid 20s - mid 30s. Smart, sensitive and expressive, the epitome of the contemporary “every-girl” artist. Exceedingly high belt/mix. Excellent actor. LEAD.

Jay:

Mid 20s - mid 30s. Katie’s rocker boyfriend with slick charm, authentic sex appeal, utter confidence ... a dangerously attractive bad boy. Rock baritenor. Excellent actor. Guitar player a huge plus. LEAD.

Seven:

Female, early - mid 30s. In sexy secretary drag, she is the short-fused, sharp-witted type-A ball-buster. “On it”, and far from conservative. Excellent comic flair. Wisecracking, with Bette Midler sass. Think Karen from “Will and Grace”.

Rise:

Female, 20s. The “misfit nerd” turned cool. In pigtails and schoolgirl drag, she is decked out with tech gadgets and gears. Rock belt with some edgy vocal texture, but also capable of high harmony. Accomplished instrumentalist on any “geeky" instrument” e.g. violin, accordion, any stringed instrument, recorder, etc.

Lola Touché:

Mid 20s - 30. Jazzy, slinky, burlesque enchantress with a foreign accent. Wearing spiked heels and garters, she has a smoky, sensual mystique. Legs for days. Think Jessica Rabbit in the flesh. Low, smoky voice. Dance training a must. Aerial circus skills a big plus!

Mama:

African American, 35+. Fabulous, full-figured diva with a big voice and an even bigger attitude. Commanding personality with a wicked sense of humor. Queen Latifah/Jackée type.

Blaze:

Female, 20s - early 30s. Mohawk-wearing punk chick with spikes, chains and chunky boots. A wisecracking butch who takes no prisoners. Think Joan Jett/Pink. Gravel edgy rock belt.

Lightning Girl:

20s. No taller than 5’5”. An exquisite dancer, she is the superhero embodiment of all Katie wants to be -- powerful, confident and proud. Resembles a Greek goddess with massive wings. The dancing in this production is extremely athletic. Women MUST be comfortable with overhead lifts. Both dancers must have exceptional partnering ability and flawless technique. Think “Movin’ Out”, “Come Fly Away” or “So You Think You Can Dance”.

Mi Roar:

Male, 20s. Should be 5’10” or taller. Menacing virility in human form. Skilled adagio partner in a mirrored, villainous disguise. Both beautifully attractive and dangerously repellent. Very masculine. Dancer. The dancing in this production is extremely athletic. Men MUST be comfortable pressing women. Both dancers must have exceptional partnering ability and flawless technique. Think “Movin’ Out”, “Come Fly Away” or “So You Think You Can Dance”.
