Please bring a picture & resume, stapled back-to-back.
Musical based on the Stephen King novel of the same name.
Seeking the following only:
Tommy Ross:
Seeking actor 18+ to play late teens. Tommy is the most popular senior, varsity star athlete and all-around handsome good-guy. Yet within this icon, also sweetly self-effacing and blessed with the quirky sensitivity of a poet – not afraid to stand up to peer pressure and do the right thing. Actor must have a very strong voice, with pop/rock versatility.
Chris Hargensen:
Seeking actress 18+ to play late teens. Chris is a rich, spoiled-rotten, popular beauty who radiates a natural ringleader – and a bully. Loaded with sexual dynamite, she’s arrogant, has serious daddy issues and a sense of entitlement that makes her think she deserves to get her own way … and God help you if you cross her. Actress must have a powerful, rhythmic rock/belt voice.
Billy Nolan:
Seeking actor 18+ to play late teens. Billy is hot. A little older than the other students. Works as a gas attendant. Goofy in a hot-kinda-way, crazy-wild with arms and abs of steel. Actor must have a great rock voice.
Miss Gardner:
Woman, early 30s – early 40s. The girls’ Physical Education teacher. Can be disciplinarian when the situation calls for it, but also a warm “fairy godmother” (vs. Margaret’s nightmare mother). Goes from angrily wanting to take Carrie and shake her in the shower to protective and encouraging Carrie to dream – only to find herself in a situation that’s way over her head. Actress must have a warm voice with a solid alto belt.
Update, posted 5/5/11: At this EPA, auditioning performers will also be considered for the following Chorus positions:
Male Character Actor:
To chameleon-act a variety of roles, late 30s – late 40s. Good singer needed. ENSEMBLE.
Ensemble Singers (M/F):
All ethnicities, to play late teens. A total diversity of colors, sizes and types to embody our particular American high school. Will have step-out lines and moments. Fantastic pop/rock and contemporary musical theatre singing voices of all ranges. ENSEMBLE.
