Man, 30-40. Charismatic emcee of the Kit Kat Klub. Tragically impish character. Must sing and move well. German accent. Tenor.
Sally Bowles:
British woman, 20s-30s. Desperate headliner at the Kit Kat Klub. Has trouble maintaining relationships. Alto.
Clifford Bradshaw:
American man, 30s. Conflicted writer who falls tragically in love with Sally. Baritone.
Fraulein Schneider:
Woman, late 50s+. Moralistic yet pragmatic. Runs the boarding house where Sally and Cliff live. German accent. Alto.
Herr Schultz:
Jewish man, late 50s+. Elderly fruit-shop owner. Falls in love with Fraulein Schneider. Tenor.
Ernst Ludwig:
Man, late 20s-early 30s. Friend/English student of Cliff. Amiable Nazi sympathizer. Good singing voice a plus (baritenor).
Fraulein Kost:
Woman, late 30s-mid 40s. Prostitute who rents in Fraulein Schneider's boarding house. Knowledge of accordion or piano a plus. Mezzo.
