In South Texas, two things loom large, The Catholic Church and Texas Pride... and Joe Garza - a strong, hard-working man - embodies one more than the other. But when he learns that Gilbert Gonzalez has returned as the new pastor at the Basilica, Joe's confronted with the choices he made in life and questions the past the only way he knows how -- with anger, pride and a biting tongue.

Seeking:

JOE GARZA:

Mid 30s. blue collar car mechanic, hard-working, loves a good time, family man, drinking problem

LELA GARZA:

Mid 30s. Joe's wife, no nonsense woman, stern, blunt, protects her family no matter what, has maintained a good heart even though she has a shameful secret.

JESSICA GARZA:

11 years old, rambunctious, old soul, inquisitive, imaginative and carries the faith of the family.

RAY GARZA:

18 years old, high school senior, wants out of town, smart-ass, geeky, an outsider.

CESAR CANTU:

Mid 30s, Joe's best friend, also works as a car mechanic, funny, supportive, loyal friend

FATHER GILL:

Mid 30s. Handsome, has a kind demeanor, Hero complex, strong principles.

LOU HELMS-GARZA:

Late 20s. Joe's half-sister, manages her father's bar, strength and attitude, comes with a lot of baggage but is honest about it.
