DESCRIPTION
Juliana Smithton is a successful neurologist whose life seems to be coming unhinged. Her husband has filed for divorce, her daughter has eloped with a much older man and her own health is in jeopardy. But in this brilliantly crafted work, nothing is as it seems. Piece by piece, a mystery unfolds as fact blurs with fiction, past collides with present and the elusive truth about Juliana boils to the surface.
Seeking:
Juliana - A sharply charismatic scientist in her early fifties whose obviously fierce intelligence is both her greatest asset and her largest burden. Independent with an urbane biting sense of humor. Not unaware of her own shortcomings.
Ian - Juliana's husband. Early fifties, an oncologist. Witty, kind, patient husband.
The Woman- In her late twenties to early thirties, The Woman portrays: Dr. Cindy Teller, a neurobiologist; Laurel, Juliana and Ian’s daughter; and a Woman. Need a great actress who can play different characters with warmth, intelligence and humor.
The Man – In his late thirties, The Man portrays Richard Sillner, and Bobby, a nurse.

BREAKING THE CODE

DESCRIPTION
A biographical drama about the eccentric genius Alan Turing who played a major role in winning the World War II; he broke the complex German code called Enigma, enabling allied forces to foresee German maneuvers. Since his work was classified top secret for years after the war, no one knew how much was owed to him when he was put on trial for breaking another code the taboo against homosexuality. Turing, who was also the first to conceive of computers, was convicted of the criminal act of homosexuality and sentenced to undergo hormone treatments, which left him physically and mentally debilitated. He committed suicide, forgotten and alone. This play is about who he was, what happened to him and why. The production will be spare and actor driven.
Seeking:
Mick Ross: Late 30s/early 40s. Police detective. Good at his job. Dedicated to upholding the law. Also has a vein of sympathy that runs through him.
Christopher Morcom: Late teens. Alan’s schoolboy friend. Smart. Charming. Mercurial. Good looking.
Sara Turing: Plays 48yo—71yo. Alan’s Mother. Wellborn and it shows. Loves her son passionately and sticks by him.
Ron Miller: 20yo. Casual lover of Alan’s. North Country. Working class. He gets by any way he needs to. He looks out for himself: survival of the fittest.
John Smith: Late 40s/Early 50s. Ross’ superior. Authoritative. Upper Class. Late 40s/Early 50s.
Dillwyn Knox: 60yo. Alan’s superior. Well educated. A Scholar. Serves as a caring mentor to Alan.
Pat Green: plays late 20s to mid 30s . A colleague of Alan’s. Amazing for a woman to have her position at that time. Incredibly intelligent. Passionate. Warm. Very loyal.
Nikos: 20yo. A casual lover of Alan’s. Greek. Speaks only Greek. Beautiful.
Note: The same actor plays Christopher and Nikos.

DESCRIPTION
Dancing Lessons centers around a young man with high-functioning autism (Asperger’s Syndrome) as he tries to navigate a relationship with a Broadway dancer, now sidelined with injuries.
CHARACTER BREAKDOWN
Ever Montgomery — CAST. Mid-30s. Brilliant, socially clueless autistic man on the high spectrum. Has long ago abandoned the idea of learning neurotypical behavior and concentrated on his work. (Performers will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary).
Senga Quinn - Dancer. Somewhere past thirty though you wouldn't get that from her. Tough. Sarcastic. Hides her emotions and troubled background.

DESCRIPTION:
Dr. Stockmann attempts to expose a water pollution scandal in his hometown, which is about to establish itself as a spa. When his brother, the mayor, conspires with local politicians and the newspaper to suppress the story, Stockmann appeals to the public meeting—only to be shouted down and reviled as 'an enemy of the people'. Miller’s adaptation of Ibsen's play reveals his distrust of politicians and the blindly held prejudices of the 'solid majority.' He employs his often used theme that “the truth must be told, whatever the cost” to devastating effect.
Seeking:
Doctor Thomas Stockmann - 50s. A practicing medical doctor and the medical officer of the new town springs. A man of principle, willing to fight for what he believes in no matter what the cost. He is idealistic and excitable and a bit naïve - he thinks others are as honorable as he is. For much of his life he was destitute and lived in the countryside; now he is happy to be fairly prosperous and living in a bustling town.
Peter Stockmann - late 50s. The mayor of the town and Dr. Stockmann's brother. He is also chairman of the spa/springs committee. A loner who is egotistical and wants to take credit for some of his brother’s successes. Would rather see people get sick from the contaminated springs than admit he’s wrong or endanger the town’s economy.
Catherine Stockmann - 40s. Dr. Stockmann's wife. She is loyal and practical, often encouraging her husband to think of his family when he is being rash.
Petra Stockmann - 20s. The daughter of Thomas and Catherine, Petra is as strong-willed and idealistic as her father. She is a hard-working teacher, yet she is frustrated that the law requires her to teach things she doesn't believe in.
Hovstad - Hovstad is editor of the town's newspaper. He is a political radical who champions the underdog but when push comes to shove, he caves in, like almost everyone else.
Aslaksen - 40’s-50’s. Aslaksen is the newspaper's publisher. A rather stuffy, careful man who means well but is incapable of taking chances. Solid, believes in moderation in all things. He is also the chairman of the Property Owners Association and active in the Temperance Society.
Billing - 20’s - early 30’s. An assistant at the newspaper, he is a radical, like Hovstad, but he is also ambitious and plans to run for office. He is courting Petra.
Captain Horster – 50’s-60’s. A ship captain who has little interest in local politics. A quiet man with a strong moral compass. Unafraid of public opinion.
Morten Kiil - A rich old man, he’s Catherine Stockman’s father. Kiil owns several of the tanneries that Dr. Stockmann implicates in his water pollution report. He laughs a lot, often covering the fact that he has no morals. Will do anything to make a buck.
