PREPARATION
Please prepare one comic monologue and one song in the style of Classic Broadway or the Great American Songbook. Total audition material should be no longer than two minutes. An accompanist will be provided. Accompaniment tracks are welcome and a Bluetooth speaker will be provided.
An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

- WANDA: THIS ROLE IS CAST. Female presenting, open to all ethnicities, 18+, Mezzo Soprano. A strong singer; carries the bulk of dialogue and narration throughout the revue. A leader—strong, powerful, and engaging, able to interact comfortably with the audience.

- Seymour Krelborn: THIS ROLE IS CAST. Male presenting, open to all ethnicities, 25–35, Bari-Tenor. An insecure, put-upon florist's clerk and eventual hero—genuine, well-meaning, clumsy and socially awkward.
- Audrey: THIS ROLE IS CAST. Female presenting, open to all ethnicities, 25–35, Alto. Bleached-blond, Billie-Dawn-like; secret love of Seymour's life. Poor self-worth and education, but very attractive and sweetly vulnerable.
- Mr. Mushnik: THIS ROLE IS CAST. Male presenting, open to all ethnicities, 55–65, Baritone. Seasoned owner of the failing East Side flower shop and Seymour's nosy, profit-driven boss.
- Orin Scrivello: Male presenting, open to all ethnicities, 30–40, Bari-Tenor. An egotistical dentist with sadistic tendencies; Audrey's abusive boyfriend, targeted by Seymour.
- The Plant (Audrey II): Male presenting, open to all ethnicities, 20–50, Bari-Tenor. Puppet role—an anthropomorphic cross between a Venus flytrap and an avocado with an appetite for human flesh. Puppeteer doubles as other sizes of the plant.
- Voice Of The Plant (Audrey II): Offstage vocalist. A conniving, street-smart 'villain' voice; a funky Rhythm and Blues style is preferred.
- Crystal, Ronette & Chiffon: Female presenting, open to all ethnicities, 20–30, various voice types. Street urchins acting as an occasional Greek chorus—young, hip, and smart; the only ones who have a grip on reality.
THE MALTESE FALCON: A MUSICAL NIGHTMARE

- Fredrik Egerman: Male presenting, open to all ethnicities, 45–55. A middle-aged lawyer in a mid-life crisis.
- Anne Egerman: THIS ROLE IS CAST. Female presenting, open to all ethnicities, early 20s. Fredrik’s young and innocent wife who sees love as if from a fairy tale.
- Henrik Egerman: Male presenting, open to all ethnicities, early 20s. Fredrik’s moody theology student son with a serious case of guilt.
- Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm: Male presenting, open to all ethnicities, 30s–early 40s. An egotistical army officer who believes he’s a gift to women.
- Countess Charlotte Malcolm: THIS ROLE IS CAST. Female presenting, open to all ethnicities, 30s. Carl-Magnus’s sharp-tongued wife who’s too smart to be stuck in her situation.
- Madame Armfeldt: Female presenting, open to all ethnicities, late 70s–80s. Desirée’s mother; an aging ex-courtesan who once had kings wrapped around her finger.
- Fredrika Armfeldt: Female presenting, open to all ethnicities, 13. Desirée’s 13-year-old daughter—no ordinary kid.
- Petra: Female presenting, open to all ethnicities, 20s–30s. Anne’s bold, street-smart maid who says exactly what she thinks.
- The Liebeslieders (the love song singers / The Quintet): Open to all ethnicities and ages. These characters drift in and out of the action like a Greek chorus:
