Olney, MD appointment auditions will be held on October 1 and 2, from 10am to 6pm each day, lunch from 1:30 to 2:30, at the Olney Theatre Center, 2001 Olney Sandy Spring Road, Olney, MD 20832, Actors' Hall (Second Floor)

Seeking
Mr. Manningham
40s, upper class English accent; handsome, very well groomed and dressed; suave and authoritative manner with a touch of mystery and bitterness; alternates between being indulgent and kind to his wife and then mean-spirited and cruel: he's attempting to drive her mad; a real rotter underneath the fancy facade.
Mrs. Manningham
30s, upper class English accent; she has been good looking, almost a beauty, but now has a haggard, wan , frightened air, with rings under her eyes , which tell of sleepless nights and worse; very subservient and frightened of her husband; fears she is going mad; constantly nervous and on edge, though attempting to cover it up.
Sergeant Rough
Middle-aged (late 40s-50s), greying, middle-class English accent, a Scotland Yard detective. active, brusque, friendly, overbearing; keen mind, good sense of humor, ruthless in ferreting out the truth; rather quirky and individual in his manner.
Elizabeth
45-65, lower class accent (a refined cockney) or could be a North Country accent; the Manningham's loyal housekeeper; amiable, good-natured, subservient, reliable, the formality of a proper British servant.
Nancy
early 20s, Cockney accent; the Manningham's housemaid; very pretty and sexy, cheeky, outspoken, flirtatious, has her eye on the master of the house and fully intends to capture him -- she pretty much succeeds.
