CONTRACT

Off Broadway OB Developmental Agreement; $550/week + health/pension 35 hours/week (Can do up to 6 full choreographed dance numbers for additional $25 per number per performer per week.)

All Star The Best Broadway Musical is a show comprised solely of the song All Star by Smash Mouth. You read that right, every musical number in the show is an arrangement of the same song. It’s a jukebox musical but the jukebox is broken. Get your game on.

PREPARATION

(VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: female dancer combination will be ballet-based – we are actively seeking dancers who sing well and dance en pointe) – bring pointe and ballet shoes, also have character heels in case there is time for a second combination

BREAKDOWN

Specific chorus roles at the moment are:

[DOLORES THE LIBRARIAN/MOTHER/AND PEGGY]
Strong technical dancer who sings and DANCES EN POINTE. Will play various roles in the show. Pointe work and Tumbling a huge plus. All shapes and sizes welcome. Characters are 40-50, female, any ethnicity.

[MELANIE]
20s, any ethnicity, female. ….not the sharpest tool in the shed and a bit misguided. Melanie has a heart of gold. One of Alexandra’s close friends, she’s very enthusiastic and excitable. Comedic timing/Improv skills a must. Huge vocal range with a pop/rock sound a la American idol. Dancer. Tumbling and dancing en pointe a plus.

[JESSICA R.]
20s, any ethnicity, female. Alexandra’s ‘yes-man.’ She thinks she’s the smart one of the group and happy to share all that she knows with everyone…..Although the facts can be a little hazy and forgettable. Comedic timing/Improv skills a must. Alto. Dancer. Tumbling and dancing en pointe a plus.

[MALE ENSEMBLE 1]
Male, any ethnicity, 20s to 40s, any shape/size. Strong technical dancers who sing well. Plays CORN/MACKENZIE'S DAD, and various roles in the show. Tumbling a huge plus.

[MALE ENSEMBLE 2]
Male, any ethnicity, 20s to 40s, any shape/size. Strong technical dancers who sing well. Plays JOEL THE MILKMAN/KEITH RIPPA/GUNNER and various roles in the show. Tumbling a huge plus.
