Richard Miller:

Caucasian male, 17. Second eldest in the Miller clan, but one immediately senses that he is the “dark horse” of all the children. Richard is an avid reader with exceptional interest in the classics, prose, and socialist texts; he is in the throes of becoming a man and discovering his place in the world through an earnest and thoughtful demeanor. Richard often finds his love for Muriel McComber in battle with her practical outlook on the world.
