Female, Caucasian, late 20s. Headstrong, confident, fearless. The young girl who cried "witch" in The Crucible is living in hiding under the name Ruth Meadow a decade later, haunted by the evil she has created. Works as a nurse and healer in compensation for her disgraced past.

JOHN BROWN

Male, Caucasian, mid 20s. A sailor stricken with the plague, who is in need of ABIGAIL’s healing. Charismatic, charming, physically in peak physical condition, with a dark sexuality. A man with secrets who is ultimately seeking redemption and a fresh start.

REVEREND PARRIS/JUDGE SEWALL/the MAN IN GRAY

Male, Caucasian, 40s/50s. Versatile actor to play multiple roles, including Man in Gray: intelligent, charming, and ominous, with a dangerous and mature playful presence.

MARGARET HALE/ the CRONE / ELIZABETH PROCTOR

Female, Caucasian, 40s/50s. Versatile actor to play multiple roles, including Elizabeth Proctor: worn, tired, suspicious and hardened, yet a survivor; her sense of compassion is still intact if a bit diminished.
