Please prepare a brief monologue in the style of the show for which you wish to be considered (actors may be considered for both).

Please bring a resume & a picture (of yourself), stapled back-to-back.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL by Charles Dickens. Adaptation: Paula Y. Flautt. 1st reh: 11/22/10. Daytime rehearsals (10-5). Thanksgiving Day off. Runs 12/10-12/19.

Seeking minimum of Five Men, Five Women and Four Children (two boys and two girls, ranging in age from 8-14). All actors (except the one playing Scrooge) play multiple roles, including narration.

The role of Ebenezer Scrooge is cast. Auditioning performers may be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary.

THE GLASS MENAGERIE by Tennessee Williams. 1st reh: 1/31/11. Daytime rehearsals (10-5). Runs 2/17-2/27.

Laura Wingfield:

23. Amanda’s daughter; Tom’s older sister. Has a bad leg, on which she has to wear a brace, and walks with a limp. Painfully shy; has largely withdrawn from the outside world, and devotes herself to old records and her collection of glass figurines.

Tom Wingfield:

Aspiring poet. Works at a shoe warehouse to support the family. Frustrated by the numbing routine of his job, and escapes from it through movies, literature and alcohol.

Jim O’Connor:

Was a popular athlete in high school; now a shipping clerk at the shoe warehouse where Tom works. Unwaveringly devoted to goals of professional achievement and ideals of personal success.

The role of Amanda Wingfield is cast. Auditioning performers may be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary.
