Our 2011/12 Season: Regional Distinction ushers in a brand-new era and a bold new direction, as Shadow Theatre Company returns in its landmark 15th year devoted to new and original works by local playwrights. Presenting the "wonder of original works"- WOW!

The Season:

The Sisters, Sweetwater
A Shadow Theatre Company Original World Premiere by Hugo Jon Sayles
A tale of transcending one's beginnings, cut against the lively music & dance halls of the 1920s and 30s. The story of two sisters born in a bordello in Silverton, Colorado, who now work the black vaudeville T.O.B.A. (Theatre Owners Booking Agency) circuit.

Barca - their family name means lightning, for their power and method of striking their enemies. Rome is that enemy, before it has established its grip upon the ancient world. A heroic myth, presented with music, dance and battle scenes, this is the story of the Barca family; unfolding both heroic and tragic.
