Lowry's Spotlight Theater presents "THE COMPLETE WORKS OF William Shakespeare (ABRIDGED) [REVISED]" June 23 through July 22 at the John Hand Theater in Lowry. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.; Sundays at 2:00 p.m. with additional performances on Monday, July 2 , Thursday, July 12 & 19 @ 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, July 21 @2:00 p.m. Tickets $12 - $25 and available at www.thisisspotlight.com or by calling 720-530-4596. The John Hand Theater is located at 7653 East 1st Place, Denver, Colorado 80230

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Reduced Shakespeare Company's classic farce, two of its original writer/performers (Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield) have thoroughly revised the show to bring it up to date for 21st-century audiences.

Can three guys really cover all 37 of Shakespeare's plays (plus the sonnets) in less than two hours? Sam Gilstrap, Ben Hilzer, and Luke Rahmsdorff-Terry will show us how it's done!

This play is full of energy as the characters run across the stage and keep you guessing how they will pull off the next play. Clever use of some interesting costumes also adds to the fun. Fast paced, witty, and physical, it's full of laughter for Shakespeare lovers and haters alike.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) was born when three inspired, charismatic comics premiered their preposterous masterwork at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1987. It quickly became a worldwide phenomenon, earning the title of London's second-longest-running comedy after a decade at the Criterion Theatre. The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) is one of the world's most frequently produced plays, and has been translated into several dozen languages. The BBC World Service commissioned the six-part Reduced Shakespeare Radio Show.

The RSC won the prestigious Shorty Award in New York City and the Delft Audience Award in Holland. They've also been nominated for an Olivier Award in London, two Helen Hayes Awards in Washington, DC, the SF Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award, and several podcast awards.
