In this hilarious comedy of ill manners, the 2013 Tony Award winner for Best Play, Vanya and his adopted sister Sonia are living a quiet life of self-reflection in the Pennsylvania farmhouse where they grew up, while their sister Masha travels the world. The comic wheels are set in motion when their eccentric cleaning woman Cassandra, who believes she has the gift of prophecy, issues a warning about terrible events in their future. Sure enough their pastoral world is turn upside down by the return of their dazzling sister Masha a high-maintenance Hollywood movie star for an unannounced visit with her 20-something über-hot boy toy Spike in tow - and so begins an unforgettable weekend building to a fever pitch of rivalry, regret and racket.
