The Alfred Hitchcock spoof, The 39 Steps opened June 18 at Creede Repertory Theatre. Political espionage and a case of mistaken identity kick off this tightly paced thriller. Written by English playwright, Patrick Barlow, this reimagining of the Alfred Hitchcock film has a cast of four playing over 150 characters, sometimes even multiple characters at once. The 39 Steps tackles every mystery movie cliché: shady spies in trench coats, a perilous escape from a moving train, and a glamorous romance. Conspiracy and Hitchcock references abound in this madcap whodunit. Come and see the inventive show that The New York Times called "absurdly enjoyable!"

The 39 Steps runs through the summer. Visit www.creederep.org or call 719.658.2540 for ticket information. Don't miss the opportunity to see this Tony award-winning thriller!
