NOW PLAYING: Theater Company of Lafayette presents COMIC CON con COMEDY - thru 8/18

Ka-pow! Theater Company of Lafayette enters the wild and wacky pop-culture world in COMIC CON con COMEDY playing now through August 19th. Join TCL for an action-packed theater adventure of original sketch comedy, providing a hilarious take on superheroes, fan conventions, comic books, and the people who love them. Madge Montgomery, Vonalda Utterback, Kirsten Jorgensen Smith, Brian Miller and Brainard Starling will direct a total cast of 28 actors in 14 original short plays, all based on the Comic Con theme.

Are you a comic con cosplayer?  Are superheroes or villains your one true passion?  Perhaps you’ve just been waiting for a good excuse to dive into spandex?  Join us dressed as your favorite comic con character or super hero.  At each performance, everyone attending in costume will be entered into a drawing for a “super” prize!

“People feel very passionate about comic books and fan conventions, and our show is already creating a lot of energy and enthusiasm,” says TCL Artistic Director Madge Montgomery.  “There will be plenty of special activities, such as live music, themed concessions, and costume and trivia contests, making this event far more than a theatrical production.
