Stop Kiss opens February 25 and runs through March 19 at The Bug Theatre.  Stop Kiss is the story of Callie and Sara. When an unexpected kiss transforms their lives - a casual friendship takes an unforeseen turn. Callie's harried city existence and Sara's workaday world each transform with the charming build-up to the kiss and its powerful, violent aftermath. It is an exploration of what it means to take personal and emotional risks.

The cast includes: Soleil Lean (Callie), Laura Lounge (Sara), Brandon Stiller (George) Stefin Woolever (Peter), Jessamyn Geesaman (Mrs. Winsley), and Charles Wingerter (Detective Cole)

Following two performances of Stop Kiss we will feature an exciting talk back with the cast and crew. These talk backs will be following the Friday shows on March 4 and March 18. Both talk backs will feature special guests from PFLAG (Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) Trey Malicoat and Rev. Dr. Olive Hinnant.

Trey Malicoat is recognized as a national expert on the effects of stress and trauma and is a noted speaker on personal resiliency, hope, diversity, and change. As a therapist, Trey worked directly with the victims of the Columbine High School shooting and the World Trade Center tragedy. He is the author of two books, holds a Master of Science Degree in Psychology, has conducted workshops and keynote addresses in most major cities in the US, and has worked abroad in Canada and New Zealand.

Rev. Dr. Olive Hinnant is a United Church of Christ minister and author of God Comes Out: A Queer Homiletic published in 2007.  She has served area churches as an out lesbian and spoken on hetero-sexism and homophobia in the church.  She has taught courses at the College of Santa Fe called "Just Good Sex" and "Queering Art Film, Literature and Religion." Currently she is a stay-at-home mom with her son, whom she and her partner adopted from Guatemala three years ago.  And a member of PFLAG.

Stop Kiss opens February 25 and runs through March 19 at The Bug Theatre, 3654 Navajo Street. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available online at www.equinoxtheatredenver.com or by calling 720-984-0781. This show is for mature audiences.
