The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities has announced it will celebrate the holidays with the critically acclaimed Broadway musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The production, directed by Gavin Mayer opens on Friday, November 17 at 7:30 p.m. and runs through December 23.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, one of the Arvada Center's best-selling holiday musicals for many years, was last performed at the Center in 2009. The 2017 - 2018 Theatre Season is sponsored by Lutheran Medical Center.

Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., matinees on Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m., through December 23. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a wonderful family-friendly story about the trials and triumphs of Israel's favorite son, Joseph; his father Jacob, eleven brothers and a coat of many colors. This enchanting musical is full of unforgettable songs, including Go Go Go Joseph, Any Dream Will Do and Close Every Door. One of the best-loved shows of all time, Joseph blends pop, country, and rock into an uplifting story of biblical proportions!

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat features music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, with lyrics by Tim Rice. In addition to director Gavin Mayer, the Arvada Center creative team includes Roberto Sinha (music director) and Kitty Skillman Hilsabeck (choreographer). The producing artistic director of musicals is Rod A. Lansberry.
