Inspire Creative to Present THE PRODUCERS, 8/23-9/7

By:

Inspire Creative presents "The Producers ~ A New Mel Brooks Musical," August 23 - Sept 7 at the PACE Center in Parker, CO. This hilarious story of two shysters trying to make a buck on Broadway, adapted from the classic movie by the same name, won more Tony Awards than any other musical, including Best Book, Best Score, and Best Musical.

Max Bialystock and Leopold Bloom have discovered a surefire way to make a fortune on Broadway: raise millions from little old lady investors, produce the worst play in a long history of flops, and then run off with the money when the play closes on opening night. They think they've found their play in "Springtime for Hitler"- but anything can happen when the lights go down on Broadway! What the two would-be producers Max Bialystock and Leopold Bloom (played by actors Brandon Bill and Tait Wynkoop, respectively) don't know is that after all their hard work, the musical ends up being a smash hit! With a hilarious cast of characters including the blonde bombshell, Ulla (played by Nicole Campbell) THE PRODUCERS is a comic tour-de-force that spoofs the big, old-fashioned Broadway musical while paying tribute to it at the same time. The classic score contains such gems as "I Wanna Be A Producer," "When You Got It, Flaunt It," "Springtime for Hitler," and "Prisoners of Love." With a book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan and music and lyrics by Mel Brooks, THE PRODUCERS will have audiences laughing out loud.

Director Gary Lewis comments,"The name Mel Brooks is synonymous with outlandish comedy! His sense of comedic timing is second to none and he has that innate ability to find humor in everything. The Producers is a masterpiece of zany humor that will leave you rolling in the aisles."

"THE PRODUCERS" opens Friday, August 23 at 7:00 p.m. with performances continuing at 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 24 and 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 25. The show will play for three weeks with shows on August 30 at 7:00 pm, August 31 at 7:00 pm and Sunday, September 1 at 2:00 pm. The final weekend of shows will be Friday, September 6 at 7:00 pm and Saturday, September 7 at 7:00 pm at the PACE Center, 20000 Pikes Peak Ave., Parker, CO 80138.

Individual tickets range in price from $27.50 - $37.50 for adults and $5.00 dollars off for seniors. Tickets can be purchased online at www.InspireCreative.org or by calling (303) 805-6800.
