Comedy Revue NORTH BY NORTHPOLE Opens 11/27 at Bovine Metropolis Theatre

By:
Ugly Christmas Sweater Party is planned. Secret Santa names are drawn. Now is the time to step into the dizzying world of job searching Rudolph, awkward mistletoe kisses, and pirates in love; careful, you'll need a compass to get back home. With Bovine Metropolis Theater's Artistic Director, Eric Farone, at the helm, their newest sketch comedy revue translates to mirth for lovers of kooky characters, holiday humor, and absurd scenarios in "North by North Pole."

Bovine's 40th original sketch comedy revue, North by North Pole (NXNP), uses improv to vet, revise and enhance each holiday sketch and musical number with one goal: make you laugh till your belly shakes like a bowl full of jelly. It's a tall order, however just like Santa, the Bovine will not disappoint.

Running the holiday gamut, NXNP showcases reindeer centric comedy, menorahs and holiday dinners gone awry. The season creates bonds and brings families closer together (or sometimes drive them apart in ridiculous ways). "We are interested in people and the relationships of families, and how winter time and holidays affect our society in funny ways," says writer and performer, Katya Bond . "It's something everyone can relate to."

Ho, ho, ho your way to performances of North by North Pole on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. from November 27 - December 19, 2015. With three encore performances at 8 p.m. on Monday, December 21, Tuesday, December 22, and Wednesday, December 23. Tickets are $22 at the door and $20 online. This is an all ages show.

Established in 1996, Bovine Metropolis Theater is the first dedicated school and theater for improvisation in the Rocky Mountain region. The Bovine uses improvisation to create exceptional ensembles for life, business and the stage.
