Christy Brandt is an award-winning actress who has graced the stage of the Creede Repertory Theatre for 35 years. You may remember her in recent favorites such as: Broadway Bound, The Cripple of Inishmaan, To Fool the Eye, Pygmalion, and Drood. This season, Mrs. Brandt, delivers a tour-de-force performance in the hilarious and heart-breaking black comedy Kimberly Akimbo.

This pull-no-punches comedy centers on a sixteen year old girl (played by Christy Brandt) with an aging disease who is surrounded by an irreverently dysfunctional family. This dark, delightful, and deeply touching comedy was heralded by the New York Times as "at once a shrewd satire, a black comedy, and a heartbreaking study of how time wounds everyone."

Kimberly Akimbo opens at the Creede Repertory Theatre on August 14th at 7:30pm and runs through September. For more information and to order tickets, visit www.creederep.org or call CRT's box office at 719-658-2540.
