Avenue Theater's SANTA'S BIG RED SACK Opens Tonight

Hold on to your holiday traditions because they are about to be skewered by the Rattlebrain crew in SANTA'S BIG RED SACK. Definitely not for children, Avenue Theater's irreverent answer to the nutcracker is back for the fifth straight year with some brand new laughs, and featuring 2013 America's Got Talent finalist, Dave Shirley. The collection of sketches, songs, and scenarios in the SACK are equal-parts Vaudeville and Mary Tyler Moore, each skit funnier than the last until the finale; Christmas dinner at the Golden Corral!

Executive Director, Nuri Heckler said, "Historically, the Capitol Hill theater district was about irreverent Vaudeville acts, and fun for everyone. 'Santa' carries on that tradition by helping us laugh at and better appreciate all those saccharine holiday traditions." Avenue Theater is the last-standing theater in the century-old Capitol Hill theater district, and labels itself the "funniest nonprofit in Colorado."
