MIXDOUBLE Comes to The Royal Danish Playhouse Studio Stage Through 3/23!

MIXDOUBLE is playing at The Royal Danish Playhouse Studio Stage in Denmark through March 23, 2019.

Recommended from 15 years. Performed in Danish.

Every Thursday, two couples meet and play badminton. Their long tradition is one they all give high priority.

The world outside the badminton hall might be going to Hell. But the people on the court are more interested in who is winning, if the ball is in or out, and whether they benefit at all from playing badminton, let alone being married to their partner, and how they actually benefit from their friendship.

Mixdouble is a brand-new drama developed through the Royal Danish Theatre's playwright laboratory KGL Dansk. In the 2016/17 season, playwright Lærke Sanderhoff was nominated for a Reumert award for Live, Human and has previously written e.g. The Sunfish, which after a successful run on stage in Copenhagen and on tour, also became an acclaimed film. Lærke Sanderhoff is teaming up with stage director Stine Schrøder Jensen for Mixdouble.
