The Brandywiners, Ltd Present GUYS AND DOLLS 7/29-8/7

The Brandywiners, Ltd. will present, for the first time, Frank Loesser's Guys and Dolls at Longwood Gardens Open Air Theatre, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Performances will be held at 8:30 p.m. on July 29, 30, 31 and August 5, 6, and 7.

Tickets at $25, with youth and group discounts, include all day admission to Longwood Gardens. Free parking and a spectacular fountain display are also included.

The Brandywiners celebrate their 79th anniversary this year. Comprised of 350 active members, they present high-quality musicals every summer at Longwood Gardens. This nonprofit performing arts group donates its profits to cultural, educational and civic causes throughout the Delaware Valley.

'Guys and Dolls' is based on the Damon Runyon's short story The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown. It revolves around Nathan Detroit, the organizer of the oldest established permanent floating crap game in New York. He bets fellow gambler Sky Masterson that he can't make the next girl he sees fall
in love with him. The next girl he sees happens to be Miss Sarah Brown, a pure-at-heart Salvation Army-type reformer. The stage is set for an hilarious evening of complications. "Guys and Dolls" remains one of America's favorite musicals.
