Oddmall is back with Dream Worlds Convention at Canton Museum of Art

Things will look a little different on February 11 and 12 at the Canton Museum of Art for the fun and unusual Dream Worlds Convention, organized by Oddmall. The Cultural Center for the Arts and Canton Museum of Art will be open Saturday, February 11 from 10:00 a.m - 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, February 12 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Admission into the convention and galleries is $5.00. Museum Members are free. The Cultural Center and Museum is located at 1001 Market Ave N in downtown Canton.

The Dream Worlds Convention will feature amazing fantasy art, tabletop games, kids activities, costumes and costumers, panels and workshops, live art demos, special guests, and purveyors of all things odd, fun, unusual, and wonderful. The Dream Worlds Convention is centered around the Dream Worlds: The Art of Imaginative Realism exhibition that is on display inside the Canton Museum of Art galleries.

Shopping?
Featuring over 140 vendors, it's the perfect place to find something unique for that special someone. Need a cool Valentine's Day gift? Browsing art, comic, and game vendors is a great way to spend an afternoon with family and friends.

Kids Activities?
Dream Worlds Convention is a family friendly event and features free art activities for the whole family. Take this opportunity to celebrate "otherness" with fun art demos for all ages. Rebecca Baygents Turk, professional costume designer, will be leading puppet making workshops for kids.

Special Guests
Several amazing guests, from comic and game writers to cartoonists and illustrators, Dream Worlds Convention will feature Robert Turk, Heather Kreiter, Andy Hopp, Chris Seaman and more.

Gallery Exhibition
Dream Worlds: The Art of Imaginative Realism assembles award-winning artists from around the country who play a pivotal role in the art of cinema, television, set design, 3D animation, gaming, and costume design-pushing the boundaries of contemporary realism through the guise of surrealism. Their creations are now a fundamental component of both the fine art world and the commercial art industry.Dream Worlds is produced with CMA guest-curator and Canton native, Chris Seaman, an award-winning artist-illustrator.

Special Dream Worlds Admission Price: Admission is $5; Museum Members are Free. Admission includes entry into the convention and galleries.
