New Play JACK AND PHIL, SLAYERS OF GIANTS to Get Ohio Premiere

Columbus Children's Theatre will present the state of Ohio premiere of JACK and Phil, Slayers of Giants February 15 - March 11 at the Park Street Theatre located at 512 Park Street. This production is directed by Ryan Scarlata.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if fairytales happened in today's age? JACK and Phil, Slayers of Giants INC. answers that very question. Through a hilarious and fresh concept this play tells the story of Jack Spriggan and his friend Phil Coverall as they head out on a journey of gigantic proportions. This rendition of the time old classic reminds us that magic still exists in the world today, and that the bonds of friendship can withstand even the most challenging of times.

The pair travels across their hometown to a pawn shop where they exchange Jack's family heirloom watch for "magic beans" and a sage warning. Once the beans grow into the largest beanstalk anyone has ever seen, the friends begin a dividing quest involving golden objects, a talking harp, fame-crazed parents and a man-eating giant. Adventure and excitement abound in this modern-day fairytale.

Columbus Children's Theatre is proud to be putting on the State of Ohio premiere of this new work. Utilizing larger than life puppetry, projection details, and more, the Park Street Theatre has been transformed to fully immerse you in the story of JACK and Phil, Slayers of Giants INC.
