CAPA Silent Film Screeing Offers Free Antique Car Show, 7/12 & 13
Today and Friday, July 12 and 13, CAPA will offer a nostalgic return to the late 1920s with the CAPA Summer Movie Series' premiere of silent film Robin Hood starring Douglas Fairbanks and a free antique car show.
Beginning at 6 pm each night, the Scioto Model 'A' Ford Club will display their antique automobiles (c. 1928-31) in front of the Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.). www.SciotoModelA.org
At 7:30 pm each night, the CAPA Summer Movie Series will screen silent film Robin Hood, preserved by The Museum of Modern Art with support from The Celeste Bartos Film Preservation Fund, which will be accompanied live by featured organist Clark Wilson on the Ohio Theatre's historic "Mighty Morton" theatre organ.

Starring "The King of Hollywood" Douglas Fairbanks, this is the first film ever to have a Hollywood premiere, held at Grauman's Egyptian Theatre on October 18, 1922. One of the most expensive films of the 1920s, this action adventure silent film offers plenty of swashbuckling and cliffhanging escapades for all ages.
Tickets:
Day-of-show tickets are $4 and go on sale one hour prior to show time at the Ohio Theatre kiosk. Senior citizen tickets are available for $3.50. Now through July 29, strips of 10 tickets are available for $25, a savings of $1.50 per ticket. Strip tickets are good for any film in any combination. All tickets are general admission and seating is on a first come, first served basis.
