Cesear's Forum is offering Edward Albee's MARRIAGE PLAY (opening this weekend),in an April/May run at Kennedy's Down Under, PlayhouseSquare, Cleveland, Ohio. MARRIAGE PLAY portrays a married couple in crisis, a recurrent theme with Mr. Albee, whose language and situation combine dark humor with unsparing insight and humanity. Of this particular couple: " I think they're both highly individual, rarefied people who live in the real world," according to the Pulitzer prize-winning playwright, whose works include WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?, A DELICATE BALANCE, THREE TALL WOMEN and THE GOAT, OR WHO IS SYLVIA? " Antics with semantics are a 

part of any work by Mr. Albee," says New York Times critic Ben Brantley: "It's what gives that distinctive, heady tension...the friction that sends the minds of receptive theatergoers into exhilarated overdrive."

The Cleveland production features veteran actors Julia Kolibab and Dana Hart. Cesear's Forum, Cleveland's small resident non-profit professional theatre company, housed within PlayhouseSquare, is known for it's intimate staging of plays theatrical and didactic. The production will be staged by Artistic Director Greg Cesear, with a setting20by Michael Larochelle, lighting by Andrew Kaletta and costumes by Aimee Kluiber.
