Founded in 1907, Concerto Budapest Symphony Orchestra is the second oldest Hungarian symphony orchestra. From the 1920s the orchestra became well-known through their radio broadcasts. Regular subscription series and performances abroad started in the 1960s. It was in 2007 that András Keller, a highly acclaimed violinist and leader of the world-famous Keller Quartet was appointed to the post of artistic director and conductor of the orchestra. Keller's leadership brings a significant change in the development of the orchestra, and further consolidated her status as one of the leading orchestras in the country.
