Lakeview's island-themed and live-music hotspot Uncle Fatty's Rum Resort (2833 N Sheffield Ave) launches its "WTF Wednesdays" featuring $2 domestic beers, $2 well cocktails, and The Cover Kings - an all star-cover band formed from Chicago's top cover bands - performing live on stage with a rotating cast of other cover band members starting Wednesday, February 3.
"The Cover Kings" are comprised of Guy Dominick from on lead vocals and guitar from "80s Proof", Cory Flyn on bass from "Mike and Joe", Bobby Bones on guitar from "Hairbanger's Ball", and Aaron Streich on drums from "Mike and Joe". "The Cover Kings" will perform two sixty-minute sets starting at 9pm every Wednesday during "WTF Wednesdays". Members of other professional cover bands are encouraged to sign up and jam on stage with "The Cover Kings". Signups start at 8pm."The Cover Kings" debuted at Uncle Fatty's during last week's Winter Music Fest and performed live on stage with representatives of 34 different Chicago cover bands including 16 Candles, Dot Dot Dot, Too White Crew, Wedding Banned, and The Spazmatics."The Cover Kings" will play a wide spectrum of music from their existing band song lists that include classic rock, pop rock, and alternative rock spanning from '80s standouts to today's biggest hits.Videos
